Student Conduct

Code of Conduct

It is our goal to maintain an environment that is educational as well as safe and fun for all students attending.  We have set forth this code of conduct to ensure that all participants and their parents understand the expected behavior for all YES! sponsored events or classes.

  • Show respect and compassion to others
  • Act with integrity
  • No profanity or rude language

Proper Handling of Materials

The materials we use for classes are expensive and should be treated properly.  Mishandling of materials will not be tolerated.  All materials used are the property of YES!

Materials handling expectations are:

  • Electronics such as computers and robotics should be handled gently
  • Robots should be placed gently into their storage containers after each class
  • Equipment should not be intentionally harmed

These policies will be enforced through written disciplinary action and discussion with parents.  Should disciplinary corrections require more than 3 occurrences parents will be asked to remove their child from the program without refund.  It is our hope that such situations never occur, however, we must provide a safe environment for all participants.

If it is absolutely clear that a student purposefully damages materials, their participation will be terminated on the first offense and parents will be responsible for replacement cost of the damaged material.
